Thanks for the day out, trip was very well run and nice to meet everyone who attended, next time when the inital post mentions taking swimmers for a dip, I will, was very hot there today, especially after the walk to the bridge.
    cheers

    Trip notes
    Swing bridge 24 February 2018

The family were really looking forward to this one. The day out to Bowtells swing bridge is always good.
We met in the village of Little Hartley around 9am, did some introductions and signing in. Headed off at 9.15, onto jenolan caves road. 14 Jeeps in total, and 34 keen jeepers in all.
After about 30 minutes we turned onto Black Range road, and aired down at the campsite just after the turn.
A really pleasant easy drive after that to the swing bridge parking area, encountering one fallen tree that we were able to drive over.
About three quarters of the group then made the hike to the swing bridge, man it was hot and humid. Picnic lunch and swimming in the Coxs river after that.
Left the parking area around 2.30, following Glen Chee road and Marsden Swamp road out. Some light showers along the way, just enough to dirty up the cars. Aired up where Marsden Swamp road meets jenolan caves road around 3.45 and made our farewells.

Great to meet all the jeepers and their families, and great to see new visitors too. No issues, other than we came across a lady walker whose walking partners were late to the parking area meeting point and She was a little distressed. We offered to drive her out, but she decided to stay and wait. There were other campers still there so we knew she wouldn’t be alone.
Swing bridge is an awesome family day out.
