tow weight on a Wrangler

I have a 2006 Wrangler. Would anyone be able to tell me what the max tow weight is. It has in the book 900kg but the website has 1600kg.

2006 would be a TJ so 900kg braked is correct.

I'm guessing the 1600kg is for the new model JK

yeah, the new JK unlimited has a braked towing capacity of 1600kg's...
