Ouch!!!! Time for a Jbitz slider...
Ek! That does look pretty nasty.. I remember it sounding pretty nasty too. We do have that moment on video btw if you're feeling like reliving it. 8O
Are you still planning on getting those Warn side protection thingys?
Very technical term "thingys" btw... :D
Was there much video taken at Berridale? Should make up a DVD or put some clips on CD.
Sill protection will be on in a few weeks, fingers crossed.
Just getting some quotes to fix the damage, cost isnt too bad (about the same as rock sliders DOH!) but up to a week off the road is a bit of a problem being a daily driver.
Yes a bit of video was taken at Berridale.
I was alternating between the camera and the video camera as one battery ran out I changed to the other.
Also Dennis was taking video all weekend.
Yes I agree someone should compile and make a DVD, would be very cool. :D
All fixed now, and better prepared for next time

Ahh very nice Antz. Looking good.
So when are we going to Berridale again to try those new babies out? :D
That looks awesome Anthony. Which ones are they? I thought you were getting Warn ones?
Is that a different T/Case skid? And what's the grey thing behind it? Long range fuel tank?
Very cool 8)

It's only a street rig tho....he doesnt wheel it. :P
Yeah, those Macca's speed bumps can cause terrible sill damage.
I got the rails custom built @ Suburban, they kept the plans if anyone else wants 'em. Similar to the JBitz ones, but mounting points beefed up and added skid plates to chassis.
The tcase skid is the stock one. I believe the design of the skids (tcase and fuel tank) changed in '03.
Yep, long range tank! bring on the long camping trips. Don't know how LONG long range is but should be around 650-700km. Still no match for those bl**dy CRD's
hey Antz, i Agree with SC, need more pics of rails. paaalleleaasseeee?!

last pic is a bit hard to see, it show the mounting to the chassis, I'm thinking I should have put a gusset between the arms and the mounting plates, but it seems pretty strong without them.

Looks sweet Antz. One question> what is the purpose of the bashplate beteeen chassis and sill? Strength? Just coz i imagine it'd fill up easily with mud etc.

Yeah i was wondering that too...
Looks good though :)
Plates just provide a smoother underbody, less chance of catching on something. Did think of the mud issue (what mud?) and if its a problem I can always just unscrew the plates to clean.
