We ran this trip in November 2020 and it was very popular. This trip is the same, but in the reverse direction (ie north to south).
Where: Turon to Sunny Corner - West of Lithgow
Starting at Turon River National Park near Capertee, heading south through to Sunny Corner State Forest. Expect to finish around 3pm, onwards.
When: Sunday 31 January 2021 Meet: Capertee Picnic Area (Cnr Castlereagh Hwy and Ely St, Capertee). Capertee is about 35mins past Lithgow.
Time: 8:30am for 9:00am - please make sure that you are fuelled (both you and your jeep), ready to go by 9:00am.
Grade: C Grade with a couple of challenge sections where a bit of spotting might be required for new drivers, Some easy D grade as well.
Requirements: Stock Wranglers and Grand Cherokees new and old are suitable.
All-terrain tyres are highly recommended as there are a lot of loose sharp rocks on the trail. BYO first aid, food and water.
Make sure you have recovery points. A standard hitch receiver will be adequate for the rear.
If you have recovery gear bring it, otherwise trip leader will step in if necessary.
UHF Radio to keep in touch with your trail buddies.
This run is limited to: 10 vehicles, and with such a small group, limited to club members only for this trip.
