Hi All,
I am doing a camping trip to Bummaroo Ford Campground on the 23rd Jan to 26th Jan Australia Day long weekend.
It's mostly to test out my self sufficiency on the camper trailer. I also have my mate coming along with his trailer.
Leaving home on the 23rd Jan Saturday morning and can meet up at the Partridge VC rest area (leaving here around 9am)
Then onto Goulburn gateway service station for any top ups and leg stretch (leaving here around 11am)
Then onto the last stint to Bummaroo Ford campground (Arrival around 12-1230pm)
Packing up and leaving by 10am on the 26th Jan Tuesday.
My original trip was to go through Wollondilly but the road is closed past Wombeyan caves.
To my knowledge, it is all tar to the campsite, but i will be confirming this in the next few weeks when i scope it out.
There are plenty of tracks that I am keen to explore and also some other campsites in the area.
Also keen for a dip (though i cant swim) and looking for some kayaks to bring along.
You will need to book yourself through National Parks and its a $6 booking fee only.
https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/camping-and-accommodation/campgrounds/bummaroo-ford-campground
If you wish to attend, you will need to get a booking confirmation from national parks as there are only 15 campsites permitted.
Only 2 are booked when I called them last.
You'll also need your national parks pass.
There is no water onsite and we can have a fire going depending on weather conditions and if there is a fire ban in place.
Will also have to bring firewood if its a go.
No pets im afraid.
There is a non-flush toilet there.
I do have a hot water system with a shower tent and happy to share if required.
