View Full Version : Saturday 1st August infamous killy loop run will probably do watagans instead due to water levels
Time for a challenging run to our favourite B+ adventure location at Killingworth.
Suitable for modified wranglers and experienced drivers that know their cars and want to up the ante!
Minimum 2 inch lift rock rails recovery gear and recovery points front and rear... winch and lockers are very useful on this trip but message trip leader if you don’t have these and will decide based on experience!
This is a technical trip where chicken track options are available but not on all sections.
Usually this trip has mud and bog holes damage is possible.
You are are in good hands with very experienced leaders so let us know if your up for the challenge
meet 8.am Twin servos on the pacific hwy.
It’s become standard to visit the chittaway tavern for a pub dinner on the way home but not compulsory.
Please bring food water camera and anything else for a fun day out.
This trip will be limited to 10 vehicles including trip leaders.
Please advise name incl passengers car model and colour.

This trip is notorious for its bog holes ... having said that we always try to avoid mud however it depends on how much rain we’ve had - not too much recently - were big fans of this trip due to its technicality and never had to replace our axle/seals. Your call of course .

Hi Di,
I will have to pull out of this trip.
The Jeep is currently up on axle stands with the gearbox out (new clutch)
Parts should be here next week but will not give me enough time to throw her back together.
Throwing some s/s headers in there whilst the exhaust is off though...be rude not too [emoji1787]

Bugger timing but you need your clutch! We put a heavy duty one in a couple of years ago to handle the additional stress! No problems wheeling since..!

Update weather wise
It’s looking to rain most of next week... if so we will be postponing this trip as we don’t want to drown our jeeps...while a few bog holes are manageable we are not prepared to take a group through this technical trip with so much water/mud.

Well looks like the weather just isn’t on our side ... still keen to get out so will change trip from killy loop to reccie in the watagans with similar grade C+ to B
So we will meet as planned at twin servos then we will have a couple of options to just what we will do !
Am itching to get out and it should be a beautiful sunny day! We will just avoid any tracks with bog jokes such as killy...
