Hi Jeepers,

As we are all stuck at home #socialdistancing. I thought I would take the time to get the Jeep more trail ready.

First job, breathers.

Now the rear diff breather has been extended into the rear light area. So I plan on leaving that alone.

However the front diff breather was just hanging behind the inner guard with no cap on the pipe [emoji51]

Also the transfer case is still stock as is the gearbox (worst design ever).

For those who don't know this is just a black plastic cap on top of the transmission, next to the gear selector.

So, I have an ARB breather kit (4 port) that will do the job.

I found a nice location on the brake server mount for the breather filter (photo below)

I then removed the gear selector to access the factory breather. This can be done from inside the car.

Once out of drilled out the hole to 10mm and fitted a 3/8 brass t-piece

This was push tight, buy I sealed it with some liquid metal.

Then I can run a 5/16 trans cooler hose along the transmission up into the ARB hose then breather filter.

The transfer case breather is a real pain to get too. It sits behind the block and the firewall. I managed to unclip this from the bracket and pull it down under the car. From there just attached the ARB line. This fitted right inside.

The same was done with the front diff.

I have attached some pics below.

Next jobs, handbrake mod, and ARB underbody protection....

Stay safe all.
