Excellent Martin!!!
Great to see other members stepping up to lead trips.
This is a different set of tracks from the week before with a higher technical difficulty.
Get out there, join in, use your Jeep for what it was built for.
Cheers
Ben

Hello,
For SJC trips in general, absolutely, this trip is full though unfortunately + you may want to target one of more basic C level trips for your first one depending on the vehicle/mods/experience.

Ok thanks Martin, I’ll wait for the next one then.
I have done a few tracks in QLD and NSW. I drive a KJ with a 2.5” lift, AT’s, winch, snorkel, recovery points front and back and recovery gear.

Just a heads up on our (conservative) Fire risk plan for this one after consulting with the RFS:
* If there is an Extreme or Catastrophic fire rating for the day, trip will be cancelled/rescheduled. The Central Ranges generally doesn't get Fire ratings this high so not expecting any issues.
* The Route has been adjusted slightly to target getting us mobile signal every 90 minutes to check for updates, we've added some small distance (10kms) for this.
* Seems obvious but if there's Fire nearby (10-20kms) that is out of control we will be looking to make a safe exit.

Bit of an update folks.
As it stands, the Newnes State Forest is currently (Thursday, 2pm) closed.
Source: https://www.forestrycorporation.com.au/visit/closures/forests-north-of-nabiac-closed and https://www.facebook.com/VisitNSWForests/
The Fire risk as it stands is "High" which is within our tolerance level with precautions however if the Forest remains closed i'll have to call off the trip. I've spoken with NSW State Forests but it's not definite either way right now.
I'll post up a final Go/No Go on Friday at 18:00 .

Confirmed from state forests that Newnes state forest is open. Fire risk for tomorrow is very high but there is no total fire ban for the area. We are a go.

We had Jared / Mel, Ray / Alan, Sean / Daphne and William / myself on this run. Awesome group, nice mix of experience and backgrounds, was great to have Alan and Ray along for what I assume is their first club trip, fearless Jared with the TJ and Sean making it look too easy.
Photos to be posted here / on facebook, I didn't take any because was too busy adjusting spotify but i'm sure there was some.
Thanks all!
We had a great day out on the trails. Discovered a few new tracks that we haven't been on.
Thanks Martin for the great leading!
We have a few photos and videos. Will post them up soon.
Cheers,
Sean & Daphne
