Looks like we need somewhere else to camp as they have a wedding at Rydal showground that weekend :( Just shot Lake Lyell an email to see what they are looking like but they are booked out open to suggestions? Glenroy cottages looks like it has some nice camping.
Cheers
Steve
Yep. We are in. Glenroy Cottages seem like a great option.

I've spoken to them at Glenroy Cottages, no need to book plenty of room along the river. It's $12.50 per adult per night and $5 per child per night, so bring cash to cover this.
Looks like it should be a good weekend.
Cheers

Could you please put me down as a maybe? It'll all depend on the rate of recovery from the surgery I had a couple of weeks ago. Thanks. Stewart.

Hi, I was thinking I'd like to head out with you guys on this trip but I read Trip Advisors review of the intended location. Are you considering anywhere else?

We have camped there before (the club has) with no problems, I've also spoken to them on the phone and don't foresee any issues. We did have another spot we usually go but couldn't get it for the long weekend.

Hi Steve,
Please add us to the list.
We are thinking of heading down to the campground on Friday night after work. Do you know if we can get access to the camp site up to 11pm?
Kind regards,
Sean & Daphne

Not sure re the 11pm setup, maybe give them a call on (02) 6355 2186, be good to get a spot staked out before we get there ;) Apparently plenty of camping along the river.
Cheers
Steve
Called the campground today. Rosemary said that we are fine to come at 11pm as long as we are quiet coming in and turn off headlights immediately, as there are people camping there from Thursday.
We haven't been to this campground before. She has recommended us to turn left after entry and go under the bridge to the site. She said it's grassy there and good for the group. We are worried it might be noisy as it's close to the road.
Is this a good spot? Or can anyone recommend a better area?
Regards,
Sean & Daphne
Hey Sean,
that spot is really good, we camped there last time. The road is not an issue, the traffic is very light and the road is elevated. This spot would be good it large open area
I might be able to make it Sat / Sun, will see if wifey wants to go. GC or Toy? hmmm hard choice :p
Sean, Kerry and I are looking at heading up on Friday too. Probably a bit earlier though - late afternoon-ish. Don't be surprised if there is a tent up already.

Update, unlikely I’ll get the jeep through pink slip by the end of the week as I’m waiting on parts from the US so will likely have to pass. Sorry!

Catherine (wifey) has decided to join us this weekend so +1
However we have to leave Sunday evening:(
Hey Team,
I just arrived at the site and found the Cremonas, Dennis, Teshie &, Avani and guests Ross, Garry, Vanessa, Rob already settled in by a massive fire that Dennis is pretty proud of. There’s lots of space here for everyone.
It’s going to be a great weekend [emoji106]

A fantastic weekend, and while the trips really were fabulous, I think the stand out impression is Dennis as Fire Marshal
Great strength for the club, 8 jeeps up the Cape, and another 13, 14, 15 out at Glenroy.
