Waterfall and MT Bonfire overnight trip 05/08/17 to 06/08/17

Trip: We will be completing the Waterfall track on Saturday, with an overnight stay at the Glenroy cottages on the Coxs river; they have a large camping area with flushing toilets and hot showers. Then on the Sunday we will take on MT Bonfire.
Camping cost $12.50 per person.

When:
Saturday
05/08/17 meet at 8.30am to depart at 9.00am. We will then proceed to the Waterfall track and complete the loop up to Gibraltar Rock lookout, lunch at the lookout and then back down the Mini Mini Fire trail and again back out on the waterfall track.
Sunday
06/08/17 those who choose to camp will depart from campgrounds on the Coxs river @ 9.00am to take on MT Bonfire, we will stop for lunch at the top.
If you are attending just the Sunday trip please meet at the Shell service station on the corner of Magpie Hollow Rd and Great Western Highway, South Bowenfels at 9.30am.

Grades:
These trips are mostly C , with a couple of C+ climbs.

Requirements:
Stock Wranglers should be fine, but 2 inch lift and some sliders never hurt.
Snatch straps, rated recover points front and rear, a D shackle and communication system of some sort, ie hand held UHF or in car 2 way radio.
This trip will be limited to 15 cars.

Update to the trip, I have opened more spots, if you would like to attend Saturday or Sunday this is ok, you do not have to camp, it is optional. Just let me know what day you would like to attend.

Steve and I did an informal recce of the Bonfire Hill track yesterday. We did the complete loop (i.e. longer than the trip with the CarAdvice crew in August 2016), including some of the more fun climbs/descents in the second half of the loop. In dry weather this is a nice C-grade trip, low range driving but unlikely to have recoveries (I think now I jinxed it :highly_amused:)

The weather was good and none of us had to be winched nor snatched. On the second day the group was 10 jeeps in size but we were progressing very well. There were some interesting bits that would push the grade to "C+" at times and some of the angles we had to put the jeeps and ourselves through required some leap of faith :highly_amused:...
