I am going to buy another Jeep, just to drive off road, a bit of a project car, no budget, all up under $10K, now do I get a good XJ or a low km KJ, not into extreme just up to 'B' trails. Need a wagon for the dogs and TJ's are to expensive. I'm leaning towards the KJ here, a bit of an unloved child of the Jeep Family but I've always liked them. Let me Know what you think. Cheers Doggy.
Ask SteveF if he is selling his XJ....
A "project" Jeep under $10K - that would have to be an XJ
a bit on the smaller side inside, but they're cheap (cheaper than TJ) and parts are available...

Got FSJ for sale with plenty of room for the dogs & would be a great project.
Ps it is currently registered.
Dave, the KJ is a great tourer, but no rock crawling weapon. If you are looking for a B Grade Jeep, don't go for a KJ, unless you are willing to spend bucks on a big lift and driveline changes. When we were planning trips for Jambo, SteveF would say to me, Dave, see if you can get up that. If I could it was a 'C', if not it was a 'B'. It's a great drive, but my KJ with a 2 inch lift has definite clearance limits!
If you're looking for a 1 to 2 person plus dogs project car, I'd go the XJ also!
