Newbie looking for advice

Hi guys new to the jeep world bought my first diesel it's a kj crd cherakee got to say I do like it but a little worried being a diesel and knowing the repair bill can be crazy hoping to speak with people that own a kj or owned one being good or bad all advice would be much appreciated thanks !!!

Hi Touf,

Why are you worried about a diesel? I've had my KJ CRD since new in 2005. 116,000 km later its still great - in fact (touch wood) I've had less trouble with the engine than with transmission or suspension... and its been across the Simpson, to Cape York etc etc.

Yeah, okay, if you do something silly and kill it, it will cost you! So find a good mechanic (and I don't really recommend Jeep service centres) and get it serviced regularly. The book says every 10,000km, I get mine done every 5000km or 6 months.
