Any members around the Horsley area today?

I pulled into the servo near the golf centre, to top up with fuel, and grab some snacks on my way to the top gear festival, came out of the servo, huge puddle of coolant under the jeep, parked it up and had a look, looks like the hose between the water pump and oil cooler has given up, it buried under the manifolds too, So looks like I won't get to the festival, gonna let everything cool and see if I can't patch it up enough to get me away... If can't get it sorted, can anyone recommend a towy in the area? To get it back to the city?

Bush mechanics #101

Cut 2" section of hose from heater return hose, add 1 hose clamp use 3/8" socket extension as a bung...

Think I'll give top gear a miss and head home... While I still can?!

Made it home 'under its own steam' ( there's a joke in there somewhere!) and got to Repco water pump blank plugs $2.50 each, should have it fixed this arvo.... http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/08/epety3un.jpg

Update: ( maybe this should have been in the tech section?) I gave the motor a few hours to cool and settle, having already burning my hands patching it up earlier, removed the hose, and coolant housing again, resealed it, fitted the new blank plugs, and topped up the coolant, all seems good, no bubbles in the header tank, no high pressure in the hoses.. I see that the previous owner or his mechanic has bypassed the oil cooler, by removing the hoses and blanking off the feed and return from the pump housing, not an ideal solution but it must have been due to a previous oil cooler or coolant hose issue, so I'm looking into a new oil cooler and some hoses right now.. I know it won't be cheap!! It's a little but of a downer, as I thought I was on top of the coolant system, having already replaced the rad top and bottom hoses, coolant pump, stat and head gasket not long after buying the thing, but shithappens I suppose...

Seen those blanks fail time and again when used for blanking off heater connections. The "bush repair" you pulled off would actually last far longer than the purpose made blanking caps.
Good luck on your long term fix.
