Sorry guys I am going to pull out of this trip.
The JK goes to the doctor on 11/09 with a bad case of indigestion (water in the fuel tank). To have the tank and fuel lines flushed and dried.
I feel sure that between DLE 068, Doggy Dave, and Steven Boyd the trip will be a success.

A very enjoyable day out, thanks to Steve Dave and everyone who came out.
Nice easy going day with no recoveries or breakdowns through the day except for Dave needing a jump start at the McDonald's car park.
Weather was great with no sign of moisture from the rains a couple of day ago, very dusty and no mud on the Jeeps although Steve squeezed himself into a bog just to get some on his wheels.
Sorry I had to turn around at Capertee, I shouldn't have checked messages on my phone (I'll know for next time).
Thanks again for a good day on the trails and waiting to see some of those photos and clips.

P.S
Steve, this is not a trip report so the floor is still yours........:encouragement:

Cheers,

Shefy.

Thanks for a great day today, thanks to Dave and Steve for looking after us - in fact thanks everyone for looking after me and my stock JK. Out of my comfort zone a few times, great scenery and enjoyed the descent and the water crossings - even the one where I was totally off line and nearly came unstuck. Only damage is ESP/BAS and ESP off warning lights up on the dash, so will get that seen to at its next service coming up soon.
cheers, rich

2487248824892490249124922493Well, I think everyone that came today had a good day, we had 8 Jeeps, 2 TJ's, 1 XJ, JKU's and 3 JK's with Steve Boyd and my self leading this trip and Dave Elliot our TEC Dan D, Rich H, Chris C, Shefy and Richard "Fussy" in between, we headed up the rather slippery climb up onto the ridge which had the odd sphincter tightening , but we all made it up no worries, well done newbies, the view from the top is worth the trip, across the top was plain sailing then down the other side where the pucker factor rose again, but these new guy's took it in there stride with no dramas, we then had our lunch break next to the stinky bog hole, well not next to it but in the clearing beside it, a short hop out to the hwy and then on to the Turon track to play in the waters of the Cox's River, after playing around in and around the river we headed home, airing up at around 3.00. No breakages no bogging's no dramas, I hope every one enjoyed themselves, I know I did. Thanks Steve and Dave for your help and thanks to Bear for organising this trip, even though you couldn't make it. Just a few pics of the day. Doggy Dave..

Is it just me, or are these pictures all of a black jeep at night, with really dark tinted windows, and the lights off, being driven by a guy in a black morphsuit, in the black forest, taken by a camera with the lens cap still on?
