From 9am till we finish ;)
So anyone got anything they'd like to add to the Job List (http://www.sydneyjeepclub.com/#)

I'm in. Still got a couple more ball joints and uni's to look at. I'll try and not make mine last all day this time so someone else can get a go as well :smile-new:
Upper front arms, fix sagging roof lining, rear centre break light, reverse lights, replace missing bolt in left hand rear wheel cylinder & degrease engine on XJ.
Install axle to XJ camper.

I'd like to add the Car trailer build or the wife's CJ8 engine swap - but that might be a little selfish ;)
So I'll suggest the BBQ Trailer ....as a low priority...
CJ 8 as classic not plastic is coming
If Wooders gets the Novak shifter in, that would be a good one for me.
The upper (sliding window) doors ive got on order might be a bit too much for me though .
I wouldn't mind just being there and helping at this stage. Paul, ball joints and UJs is what I will be doing next - so I would like to see it done before doing mine. I have not decided if I will just pay to get it sorted. Parts already sitting on the shelf waiting. Synergy BJs, UJs and axel seals. Did the right side turbo hose a couple of weeks back and wanted to make the order (freight) worth it, so I ordered the other parts at the same time.

I'm not quite claiming to be an expert yet but the ball joints aren't difficult. Dave's got the kit to do them so better to come along and do them on the tool box day. At least you know they're done right. The worst part is pulling the axles to get at them, or rather the worst part is putting the axle back in, but after our learnings from last week doing mine it should be a doddle now. If you've got the axle out you might as well do the uni's while it's out. The one we did last week on mine was a pig but everyone assures me they're not usually like that and should only take 10 minutes when the axle is out.

can you still get it in the 44 gallon drums you were offering at jambo in melb?
was that before or after you became president?
If my jeep is ready fingers crossed, hopefully I've got some spare time to come down and have a look, can get my zj front hooks and put them in
I thought that was your special stash

Is that true?

Ask this Guy!!2104
Sign me up this time - happy to help out and check out the possibilities of the Protofab rear bar for the Waggie. (Quite possibly I am dreaming.)
I'll definitely be there - just tried putting in those disconnects and had a bugger of a time even getting the top post provided in the kit through the sway bar hole - methinks i'll need more qualified supervision with these :/ (plus have run out of down time until after my next exam)

Also we'll have the BBQ running. Thinking about healthy ;) B&E rolls in the morning and usual snag sangers for lunch.
Will also have beverages available.
But in a slight change from previous "events", due to club fund raising, there will be a nominal cost of $2 each. So bring your change, your jeep and lets have a great day.
Lastly remember the ToolBox day will lead into the Movie Night - so hang around!!
You're a Good Man Wooders

You dropping in Steve??
Also do we have anyone prepared to volunteer for cooking duties?
I will try to turn up Dave. but my white knight is running sooooo smooooth ... (so far) though it still feels as if it's pulling a little left. - can't see why....but I accept it that way
I can help cook if you wish but will confirm if I'm free.
Steve

Hey Dave,
Looking forward to it. After what I learned last time I should have it down to a fine art this time......it'll be like an F1 pit crew! You do still have that old tent pole handy for retrieving those damn axle guide/washer things don't you? Lesson learned......there should be 2!
Forecast's looking better than last time as well which is a bonus.

Yeah...... what he said :hopelessness:
Have had further word from Robert Scott ... he has ordered his bulbar from TJM but won't be delivered in time .... however I have suggested he call in to meet you guys and get further advice.
I might be popping in. I don't need nothing done, but always good for a chin wag and a hand. Won't be in till around midday as I work in the morning.
Wally
Apologies, but I can't make it this Saturday - a few too many things to do out west before the mothers day gathering on the Sunday :(

A great turn out & I think it was overall a pretty productive day.
I'd specifically like to thank John for his assistance.
I'm open to suggestions for the next one but thinking about late June (depending on demand).
It was also great to see the number of members that came to help &/or socialise.
Happy to hear any feedback or suggestions on how we could make it even better.
Thanks Dave for hosting the day despite the lack of rest the night before.
We didn't help much as all hands were already on deck, so were just bumming around and catching up.
It was a good day and definitely a great learning experience through observations and discussions.
Thanks for your hard work and everyone for your tips.
Great day team. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Jason
Sorry all, life is a bit full on at the moment - barely got time to scratch myself with work and family commitments. I hope to get to one of these sometime.

no problem, 18ths good for me. Doggy.
Ohh - even better! I might be able to get a snorkel to instal by then ;) This years tax refund is getting destroyed haha
I really need help with the air box to connect to snorkel and supercharger. I have no idea what to do. I probably need to buy part from Dave before hand.
Stick with AEV 2nd generation snorkel it is top quality and is a 4" diameter pipe as opposed to others that are just 3"
