Mt Airlie

trip limited to 12 including leader (this could be you) and me

Requirements: lift, tyres 33 in and over, 2 way radio, recovery points.

The plan: to head up Friday night & camp. This serve a couple of proposes.
1) breaks the trip up.
2) Shortens the day, as the trip will be from Rydal to Rydal.
3) Ready on site for those going on Greg's Sunday Mt Walker Trip.
4) Another chance socialise with more club members.
5) A chance to have a go on the Jambo test track.
& many more reasons.

List up now, even if you only want to do the day.

Sounds good to me....although can I suggest a different camp location?

This place is just the other side of Capertee - http://www.turongates.com/camp.html

After out last camping trip I would prefer Rydal as there are shelters to camp under to keep out of the rain.

I have gone though my trip log and I have never been to Mt Airlie

I am not 100% on leading a trip I have never been on and don't have maps for.

Would any one mind if I take you on a different track ?

I was thinking Baal Bone Gap onto Garden Of Stone then depending on time Turon River onto Pinicals

What do you all think of that ?

Any Question my mobile is 0404 896 669

As long as I'm out of the house and in my toy, all is good.
Any deep crossings? I still need to extend my beeathers

If we get time to go onto the Turon River there are a few river crossings but none of them should that deep, Only a couple of feet.

Wallyd
19-03-13, 03:39 PM
Yeah, Turon is fine

What a great day on the trails and a great night camping.
brilliant weather with a perfectly timed drizzle lasting ten minutes while we were crossing on some gravel just enough to wash the dust off. Thanks Stephen for putting an end to the dead end and giving us one exciting ride to finish a great day before having a great night, one point Stephen next time we collect fire wood on the trail.
Loved the "once were warriors" dialogues from Dave and Stephen and Wally, great meeting you and hope to hit the trails again together soon.
Cheers,
Shefy.
