Lake Lyel yet again. 22nd October (Trip pics added) [Archive]

At a request I'm running yet another trip to Lake Lyel on the 22nd of October.

If you're intersted on a C+ Grade trip with a bit of everything let me know.

Vehicle Requirements
You'll need a recovery point front and rear
Snatch strap and shackles if needed to attach it to the recover points

Times and places
Departing @ 7:00am Thornleigh Maccas
Departing @ 8:00am Richmond Maccas (if required)
Departing @ 9:30am Shell servo at Bowenfels (Go through Lithgow, turn left on to the Hwy and travel a few KM's up the road, you'll see it on the right)

It's cool, I was actually limiting it to about 8, I've never done it with more than six and that has been a perfect number but up to 10 would probably be fine as well, just makes for a slighlty longer day :)

Seeing as this post has been up for a little while etc and it looks like I wont get many more takers from the Club then that should be fine. Just make sure he meets the requirements in the first post re recovery gear etc :)

So failing any dropouts and including the two possibles (Overlander and Tigger) the trip is now full with 12 attendees :)

If anyone else is interested let me know and we can organise another or fill up any spots if people dropout.

Hard to say, the most I've done it with is 6 but in saying that we had to winch 3 vehicles at one point and spent about an hour geting through that particular spot etc. Normally we finish up about 3:00ish-3:30 but it could be longer and then there's the run back home. Hope that helps a bit :)

Sorry, unless someone drops out I really cant take anymore, it's going to be tight with 12 vehicles as it is. I'll let you know if anyone does drop out though.

Could everyone let me know where you'll be joining the trip just to make sure we dont leave anywhere without someone.

Also with the rain and the steepness of some of the climbs a snatch up a couple of the slippery bits is pretty likely so could everyone ensure they have recovery points front and rear and the gear needed to hook up to them etc. If anyone is unsure on what might be needed shoot me a PM or email me :)

Anyway guys, thanks for coming along it was a great trip and the weather was mostly kind to us. Now I'll have to explore some more in there and come up with a new 'Lake Lyel' trip :)
