Hi there fellas. Finally feels like I belong to a family of off roaders.
Can anyone tell me where there are some off road 4WD drive tracks for newbis
around the MacArthur Campbelltown districts ? Just bought a 96
Grand Cherokee and would like to take it for a bash without destroying it.
Don't care about scratches so much but I don't want really tight tracks
or extremely steep one's. Just something for beginners. :smile-new:
Cheers

Best bet is to come along to the Jeep Jamboree (http://www.jeepjamboree2012.com.au) It's only a month away and they'll be plenty of guided trips and Jeepin fun over the 4 days, and even better Sydney Jeep Club are running it so it's just in the Blue Mountains. Much better to go offroad with at least one other vehicle especially if it's you first few times.
Also checkout the facebook site (https://www.facebook.com/JeepJamboree2012)
Cheers

Or even better JOIN THE CLUB & we'll show you.
This way there will be experienced people to guide you, who not only know the tracks but knows the capability of your ZJ Grand Cherokee.
Hunno.
Opps, forgot I ws logged on to Wooders account & Welcome!

Thanks Steve. I am looking forward to it Got a couple of things to fix. The diff is sounding a bit noisy. The teeth are gone. Is there anyone out there that can fix these things without it draining your bank account. They are great 4WD's but ridiculous on parts costs. Any idea ? I'm gonna post a new thread as well so I can see what help I can get. I've already done the gearbox and CV'S. The box nearly killed me at 3 large.

I've done the Turon River run with Tag-Along-Tours. It's tame enough for beginners and if there's been a bit of rain there are some sweet puddles to jump in. I'm an amateur so fully aware of not wanting to take on something without experience or proper backup (or expensive repair jobs). I haven't done a run with the Jeep Club yet but looking forward to finding out more at the Jamboree!!! :eagerness:
