This trip is aimed and becoming more familiar with the Rydal area and getting experience leading a trip as this will be my first time as a trip leader

From what I have read it would be advisable if you had good traction tyres and moderate lift but there are easier tracks off to the side. It will be imperative that you have the proper recovery points and recovery gear. It has some steep accents/descents and a couple of river crossings

Where -- Coxs River/ Mt Walker Starting from the show ground at Rydal and finishing at the show ground Rydal

When -- Sunday, 22 July 2012, 7am for 7:30am departure

Meet -- Meet -- Richmond Macdonalds

Grade -- "moderate" C+ There are some B - B+ climbs but there are easier tracks off to the side

Requirements -- recovery points Front/Rear, recovery gear, UHF radio, food/drinks of choice. A camera would be good for reference.

This run is limited to ++++++NO LIMIT +++++vehicles including me..............

As mentioned this is a recce so expect the unexpected, so this will include some exploration of the area.

I would love to come along - but our third is due this weekend. More importantly tho I have to crawl under the Waggie and do the RMS before I venture to far away - the weap has become a leak. Hopefully I am good for at least a couple more runs before the Jambo.

No worries Steve F, We will stop by and say hi.

20-07-12, 01:18 PM
Hi All

Looking at the weather its looking like its going to be cold with some rain expected

Just remember warm and appropriate clothing for the conditions

With parts of the track (the harder lines) we may have to use the easer lines as these may be to slippery.

With exploring the longer loop we do need to make sure we get away on time 7:30am depart.

Any problems or questions give me a call and i will see you on Sunday Morning

Yes, another great day out. Thanks Steve. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll have a look though my photos and see if I can get some downloaded later.

David, I noticed when I was following you back onto Richmond that it looked like you've squashed the end of your exhaust pipe. Might just have been a trick of the light but it it looked more oval than round!
