The bent con rods are out of dads 2010 grand cherokee that got thirsty and drunk some water. (not on this trip)

It was run out the back of Queenstown and up into Arrow town, South Island

i am heading back over for three weeks but not till Jan next year, hoping to get out on the trails while i am there

Looks fantastic. I've spent a fair bit of time around the North Island as I have family who live in Auckland but not been to the South Island much. Somewhere else on the big list of places to visit one day.

Pity about the Grand but there does seem to be a lot of people driving through a lot of water without snorkels though. Looks like a few of them might have gotten wet feet as well.

The Grand sucked in a lot of water on a trip i did with dad new years day 2011.

The front dropped into a big hole in a river and swapped it, the worse thing was the cab also filled up, just below the front seats and with all the electronic seats and heated seats it was a mess, the heated seat shorted out and melted the leather and burnt a big hole in the seat, Insurance job, as the interior was flooded and just about all of the electrics shorted out.

They really do not like water

Got a nice new one now

Absolutely a beautiful part of the world. Especially in winter
