At the moment the details are rather sketchy but the NSW World War Two Jeep Club have invited us to a weekend at their property at Cullen Bullen.
The small village of Cullen Bullen is located on the Mudgee Rd, 168 km north-west of Sydney and 28 km north of Lithgow.
They have a renovated Wool shed and plan to have a dinner dance on Saturday night ($30.00) Plenty of camping available
It is a great opportunity to meet up with the wwII guys that will be helping us out at jambo and gain some local knowledge of the area for driving some easy tracks on sunday.
Please indicate interest, trip is open to all. Family welcome

CULLEN SHED-MINI JEEP JAMBO
Its on again, an XMAS in July style function, but it ain't in July,
but in April. The weekend of 28 and 29 has been arranged for a shindig
at the shed that only we can do. In conjunction with the Sydney Jeep
Club, we will have the legendary Blowiez (Blowflies) playing, Red
doing the catering and a leisurely Saturday travelling the trails of
the surrounding hills. Come and meet the team that are arranging the
great Jeep Jamboree.
Come Friday, set up your camp or come Saturday, early (before 10am)
and be part of history.
Cost will be $35 UP FRONT per head, which will include your 2 course
scrumptious dinner and the band.
Numbers will be limited on a first payed up, first served basis. Email
John and Mon now at zingaro@bigpond.net.au or call them on
(02)6352-3182 to arrange payment by the 16th April, however, I suggest
that as places will be limited, that you get off your arses and get
your interest in ASAP.

Me Bec and Emily will be there, I'm guessing there's no cost for Emmy, we can bring some food for her if we need to :) She's very picky at 3yrs old. We will get there around midday on Saturday as well and will have the rooftop tent on so can do some exploring but nothing to extreme so I may just settle into the camp chair and have a beer and a chat :)

As you get into Cullen Bullen turn left at Watson Ave, follow Watson Ave then Turn sharp left into Farley St. Follow Farley St till you get to a t intersection. Straight ahead you will see a cow grate and then a dirt track go across cow grate and up track till you reach the woolshed.
If you cant reach me on phone try John Swane on 0488523182

Sorry we won't be able to make it! I'm getting a shoulder operation on Tuesday, so I need to get some stuff done around the house before I'm next to useless (look out Charl might trade me in!!! LOL)
Lots of photos please.

What a great weekend, I got there with wife and daughter around 3:30pm on Saturday, put up the rooftop tent and opened a beer. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of Saturday for me :) Sat around and chatted with lots of others that attended, chatted about the upcoming Jambo, Jeeps, Camp Coffs and pretty much anything and everything. At around 6:30pm the food came out, plenty of it along with being tasty and hot. Then to top it of the band came out and played though until an amp blew, and then played some more (accoustically) with the drummer doing an amazing job on some pots and pans and anything at hand and Jacko from Coffs joining in on the spoons, around midnight the band headed off and a few of us went to stand around the campfire to warm up before heading off to bed half an hour or so later. A great weekend for all involved and really well hosted, hopefully we'll get an invite to the next one as well :)
I got a couple of pics and a little video.

1371 lunch stop on Saturday @ Cullen Bullen secret Jambo recce trip. Note Jeep Action J8 jk conversion
We had a great time. Got there early Saturday morning (3:30am) set up camp slept till 7:30am bacon and eggs with hashbrowns cooked on the biggest barbie you've ever seen then it was off through the trails riding shotgun with the expert trail leader John Swane we had a 5hr trip through the bush, lunch on top of a ridge looking back through to Mt Airly and Glen Davis beautiful scenery will be a great c grade track for jambo with some challenging hill climbs. Back to the woolshed and a few quiet bevvies around a great fire. Then at 19:00 hrs into the shed for a great feed and entertainment from the bushband "the blowfliez"
Many thanks to the WW2 Jeep club who really made us fell right at home. A top bunch of lads and lasses who know how to throw a great bash. See you next year for sure !!
I also won the raffle and a nice hat even though Steve reckoned I looked a dead ringer for Elmer Fudd in it

WOW looks like you guys had a top time. My PC crashed & was in for repair. I forgot all about this event. Don't realise how much we rely on these electronic devices.
