Count me in
Put me on the list please Steve, I'd like to have a crack at the ramp.
put me down too - i'm bringing the ramp! :)
I'll be there, not a lot of point in ramping (unless I can get a good run up haha) but it was a great day out in 2011, should be even better if we have a few more Jeepers in 2012!
Dave
I dont get my Feb roster till third week January... Put me down as a tentative yes... Will arrange a shift swap if I am working that day....

I now have to direct a live broadcast so will not be able to attend - however I am still happy to go and get the ramp on friday and leave it somewhere appropriate - I wish I had less randomness to my job, never really being able to plan anything in advance on weekends takes its toll on my sense of humour LoL
Cheers Hunty
Sorry guys we are out for this one. Family have decided they have something better for us to do.

Also there's no limit on this trip - so plenty of room for anyone else that wants to come along.

Might tag along with you, might be earlier than 6:00am though looking at the travel times. If Mei Mei wants to come back early Bec can bring here and Megan back as she is coming up later in the Mazda, it wont fit three kids seats in it though so Martin might have to tough it out ;)

Always happy to help, I will be at Rydal at 0800...
Also if we can make sure we all are wearing SJC shirts.....

Anyone able to lead the later group (if there is one) up to Rydal on Saturday?
Also, we still have to pay the entry fee, its a smallish country show so they need to charge everyone, cost is $10 per adult kids are free. There is food up there but bring some drinks etc, there is also a bar if you fancy a beer wih lunch but if you do be responsible. Most of all bring cameras and have a good look at the place :)

Hey Steve F, Is the later trip the one currently posted? (from maccas to bowenfels) that's the one I'll be on since I'm travelling from Dulwich Hill.
I'll put my hand up to lead if there are no other "senior members" to lead :D
On another note, Could you bring the maps for the xoom at the club meeting? I tested out the oziexplorer on android with a map I found and it works very well.
Steve I was thinking 5-6am. Will discuss with the rest of the family.
Get the bacon and eggs going on the Barby and mines white no sugar thanks
Looks Like I'm out.
Got to work Friday night & been hit up by the siblings to available as it will be the first time together since Dads funeral.

I'm gonna' RDO Friday night so I can be up there early and help set up. It'll be just me as we also have Pela's mother this weekend.
I'm happy to meet and lead from Maccas at Richmond if Negdriver doesn't want to (I've even run off some maps). Should be there by 7.00am for brekky! As Steve said we will leave at 7.30 sharp so we are in by 9.30.
Steve, can you email or PM me a list of people for the 7.30 convoy - hard to tell at the moment.
Thanks,
Dave

Ramping results
Feel free to convert but I don't know how to.
Measurements are the distance traveled up the ramp.
Skizzi 2.19
SteveF 1.93
Wooders 1.74
John 1.69
Cpage66 1.65
Redrubi 1.56
Mani 1.41
Neg driver 1.29
Wolfe 70
You need to divide the distance travelled up the ramp by the wheelbase of the vehicle.....if you can grab the wheelbase measurements then I'll do the conversions for you

Well done skiz!
Is that the furthest up the ramp yet?

I think so but not too sure. I'm only just over half way though
Geoff, I don't know my wheelbase ATM but I'll find out soon. I think the guys said an rti of around 750. I have no idea what that means but I'm happy with the way my jeep drives for a simple lift kit on a standardish jeep. Yours will probably get way up there with all the mods you've done (stretch, shocks through the floor, looong travel shocks) it will be good to watch you get to the top. We expect nothing less :P

Skizzi, post up all our numbers and someone can work it out, you'll also need the wheelbase, angle of the ramp is 25 degrees. If nobody works it out I'll do it tonight but just about to head out again for dinner.
Cheers

Ps I think for a more accurate RTI we have to add about 50mm to the reading coz we started our measurement at the start of the ramp but the ramp start was already about 30mm off the ground level. ( if you know what I mean). No big deal
http://img.tapatalk.com/3aacd365-5a4d-3f27.jpgSeen at the show. Is that really how you spell it?

Final results in order on 25 degree ramp as mentioned these are a bit low as the ditance up the ramp was probably a touch more due to the bottom of the ramp not going forward to the ground but a sa comparision it works as they all got measured from the same spot.
Skizzi = RTI of 752 (My guess of 750 was bloody close)
SteveF = RTI of 749
John = RTI of 713
Wooders = RTI of 675
Redrubi = RTI of 644
Cpage66 = RTI of 613
Neg driver = RTI of 500
Mani = RTI of 486
Wolfe = RTI of 271 (In reverse with no 4WD and being generous with the distance up the ramp ;) )
Did anyone get Daves result in the KJ?
Cheers
Steve
he was a touch further up than Wolfe.

Actually that doube support that you got to is under halfway ;)
But regardless danged fine effort - infact you have the current record.....must get the TopGear board in place :)
Sounds like everyone had a great day.
My question is more Jambo related.
How did the locals take to it?
