View Full Version : Bigger XJ than SteveF's
I ran across this XJ through a link sent to me by CD (former Jeep guy and now a radio control Jeep guy): It is an RC XJ but it looks great and to scale. A good Fathers Day present Steve, a mini-me XJ.

I doubt mine will end up as 'scale' as that but you never know :)
It's a polycarbonate body and still has the clear protective film on it so it should look better when all painted, stickered with grill and lights etc and mounted properly (a lot lower).

Thanks Wolfe, but it is just a model. Not many real ones in Australia - I only know of one that is on the road. Plenty of real ones in the US, like this beater:

I think the key to getting the body to come out looking scale & realistic is to use a very thin permanent marker and draw in the gaps between the body panels. Like the doors, hood & fuel filler.
If you still have the plastic covering on you could give it a try and see how it looks ;)
Also blacken out the window surrounds etc.
