Glad you piped up Steve, I've never been there but someone had to get the ball rolling.
I'm sure one of Wolfe's personalities Won't mind sharing a spot.
I was at the Wheeny Creek Steps yesterday afternoon and must admit I was in awe of the massive steps and erosion gullies that have developed since the last time I saw it a couple of years ago. The diff oil marks on the top step edge of the middle path were a telling reminder.
Put me down for this run please.

are capable visitors allowed?
are capable visitors allowed?
Hi Jeepdate,
Visitors are welcome, however due to the number of members in the club Vs caping on numbers set by the trip leader. Financial club members Get first choice.
However if you where to become a financial member prior to the run then you would be entitled to go. You can join online and is very cheap compared to other clubs.
Hunno pls count me it - want to see what my stock Rubi can do
Guys, I would love to come along but I need a lift. Is anyone coming past Concord on their way? Glad to chip in for fuel!
Thanks

How much rain can we have before the trip is cancelled?
Looks like it will be raining tomorrow in the Richmond area: http://www.weatherzone.com.au/nsw/hunter/upper-colo
:(I am out once again eeeerrrrrrrrrrrr..:o.......:(........ Up to the trip leader to pull the pin if it gets wet/rain. D.K. will there tomorrow so he will know if/when to turn around if necessary if the weather turns ugly..:(...:).......
At this stage it has not rained a drop out here even though it has been overcast all day.
I am still intending to head out in the morning.
As I'm working tonight I will keep watching the net overnight & a judgement call in the morning. I will be leaving the city @ 0700hrs & heading straight to Richmond Maccas.
AT THIS STAGE THE TRIP IS STILL ON!!!, (1830hrs Friday)
but please check here before leaving for updates.

If no who would like to to have ago on Sunday weather permiting
I'm keen either way, happy to go today if still on
Wheeny Creek Run Cancelled.
However D.K. & I are still going to meet at Richmond Maccas & just have a look at where the track starts for future reference & the maybe a light run up the track that leads from Colo to Mountin Lagoon(Bilpin) maybe onto Zig Zag on or somewhere easy where we will not do track damage.
Anyone weclome.
What a shame :( - if it dries out enough for tommorrow, it might be a good option to go then?
Ok I'll meet you there also. Do you think all members not going on trip should meet at Richmond?

I figure that those who wern't going would still be in bed on a day like this.
still coming, was going to do the same track (mountain lagoon) if it was cancelled
Thanks guys hade a ball up at zig zag today. I will be up to get diff locks asap then i can try to ga on a bit harder stuff but i made it up with out too much truble anyway
yes thanks to all for a great day/night we got back around 8.30 tonite after exploring with the die hards
Absolute blast of an afternoon.
Top of with a great big T bone peper gravy, veggies & chips all washed down nicely & I was still home by 8.45!
P.s. Thanks for the winching on the last hill Wolfe.
Hey Hunno
I felt your pain!
because by the time I got back to it rain was torrenting down and I tried the hard way - no luck, tried the easiest chicken track - no luck (BTW because I was at work yesterday arvo - very close to the trails - I did not air down or disco - D'oh) decided to go up the middle and cross over 2/3 the way up lockers on and praying to the gods of traction, pace & fury - lol hoping to hell to not have to get out in my suite and air down and disco or winch!!! in the mud!.................... made it Just..............and I was thinking that you guyz would get it worse than I did...... did you get to the end?
cheers Hunty
Wolfe did, I blow the front tail shaft CV on the very last climb. Drove all the way out in 2 wheel drive with an auto that wouldn't take until about 2500rpm & with a thud, no slip.
Drove everything right up until the part of to chicken track where I'm guessing you where praying to get through & slipping towards the hard track. Wolfe winched me from there.
So I guess no one wanted to get wet and get photos.
Pretty much, we went and had look at the trail head. D.K then went home. We decided to head up to Zig Zag. Adrain decided he wanted to have more of a look around Colo area so he left us. Wolfe, Khalak, Memfis & myself went on. The first part of the power lines track has now completely been leveled. Pipeline was fun. It was time Memfis had to call it a day as it was his son's birthday & had a party to go to, but by the looks on the kids faces they had fun. Then there was 3. Sam did get a couple of PHOTO's on Wolfe phone but the rain was beating all of us.
Here's some of the photos Sam took
