Will the starter motor from a ZJ fit into a TJ?

My 06 Auto TJ starter motor has failed will the starter motor from a 96 ZJ Auto work?

The OMIX starter for a ZJ (93-98 ) says it fits a Wrangler up to 2000 so I guess the answer is probably no.
