Heavy rain--flooding

Just enquiring on starting a crd or petrol engine if the exhaust is under water?
With all the rain around.....am unsure about what I can do if I wakeup in the morning and find my jeep deep in water...let's say above the tyres? Would it be safe to start the engine?

Hope all our farmers, residents of wagga wagga and others get through this time safely...

If you can still open the door and get in without flooding the jeep then it should be fine to start even with the lower section of the exhaust under water, it's one hell of an air pump and will just push the water out of the exhaust.
