Happy to Chop.
Pls Add me too.
Will talk soon Steve. Even if it's only for sizing & cutting
Did every run available in the ZJ with about 2.5inch lift with 31's:) and finally lockers..:).. I basically followed TJ's with lifts/33 or 35 tyres. Still managed to surprize some of them where/what you can do in a good ZJ...:)....Jetty's looked real nice with long arms and 32's on.:)..Seem to have no rubbing with the 32's on...... Side bars are a real bonus which you already have......:)..............

Limit to trip will be 10 if the rainstops. This area is clay and rock and some slopes are all clay with rock steps which with no stopping control is very dangerous and more than 3 slopes are just clay steps up and over with rocks intermingled, so if the guide who is taking us says it is too dangerous the trip will be cancelled at late notice. I will be leaving Berowra at 0730 from the old toll stop. If you want to know where the meeting place is just google cameron park go kart track. I have 7 going so far, only three more after this post. Olly

Hi Mate,
Could you please change the format of your first post to meet the trip template, there's lots of reasons we're trying to get the trips to all meet the same format on the first post. Mainly as we now have a heap of members and its easier to tell at a glance if the trip is right for you etc, also, since the forum is now our main trip register it covers us from an insurance point of view (believe it or not for our public liability to be valid we have to have a trip register) etc as the trips are formally documented and all meet the same/required format. I can go through and edit the first post of trips to meet the required format but it's so much easier for everyone if the template is just copied in the first place. Oh, and check your PM's as Wolfe has been trying to contact you, if for some reason you aren't getting them let me know and I'll look into it.
As you know we've only recently started trying to sort this and it hasn't gone well so far so a bit of cooperation from everyone would be appreciated :)
Cheers
Steve

Has anyone been on this track recently? I googled it and found some ausjeep posts saying that some of this track has been cleared and is now signposted as private property and patroled by a private sercurity company....That was from 2007 so maybe it's not true anymore.

Found this on Outers
Was out there mid last week I got pulled up by a copper on a bike, he only wanted to make sure I was licensed & that my vehicle had rego. When I asked about driving killi loop he said no drama's with being in there on the loop(it's part of the Sugarloaf conservation area) as long as we don't venture onto the powerline tracks that are between the F3 & Killingworth rd(owned by the power station).
Cheers

Are 33" tires a suggestion or a requirement to go on the trip (since there are tracks around the harder sections)? I've got 31"s with a 2" lift and disconnects. No fear and a heavy throttle usually account for at least 2 inches anyway.....that's what she said.
.........only an extra 2" with heavy throttle PV....? -->*<--
If I remenber it right Craig you had a 5" lift for a few seconds at Newnes HAHAHAHAHA. Thats about how long it took you to climb the last bit of fun.
Yeah you got it Hunno - the massed affect of extensive heavy throttle gave me that extra 6" I need....was it Newnes? No, earlier than that at Lake Lyle - inverted swaybar, wrecked front linkages and started the entire domino affect that took 12 months to finally break....all in the name of good fun I suppose and cant take money with you.....

Olly, as you will be driving past my place, can you give me a call when you hit Ourimbah? That'll give me enough time to get in the car and join the convoy at Sparks Rd. My number is 0429 181 270
I have to pull out guys, I havent put the Jeep in low in weeks but have a huge work do Friday and into the night and I sure I wont be healthy come Saturday, so you guys next trip

Will have to pull out of this one. Another weekend clash of interests. Some long time Landrover mates are heading down to Yalwal for the weekend ... well at least i can wave the jeep flag! Mind you the hardcore defenders can rock with the best.

Sorry man, I have to pull out. Was getting new drive shafts installed, found that the front yoke was the wrong one. Have to wait a few weeks for delivery. Have a great day.
Phil
Sorry guys I'm out.
Due to not getting around to fitting 33's & having to choose to miss one trip (to pay for my trip) to go on another in WA with the She'll be Right Gang boys & girls(& many others), but really to get my CJ6 home is a small price to pay for many more yearsof SJC fun.
I have to pull out of Saturday's run, eeeerrrrrrrrrrr.....:(.....:)....
Gees looks like a trend, I've got no drive shaft a moment so i'm out also. Sorry

So, how did it go ?

Except for the one place where even the 35"s winched up, I thought that 31" ATR's seemed to be sufficient. I would say they were fairly difficult B grade tracks and a lot of fun.
Too bad we didn't actually do Killi's loop. I think I might go back and try it this Sunday.

I reckon it needed good rampover angles. Long wheel base with big lift and tyres like Tony's or Shortwheelbase with moderate lift and tyres like yours were most suitable for this trip. I have 2 inches extra clearence under the fuel tank now from all the beating it got ;)... Wifey has turned down the request for a steel bumper so will have to heat up and reshape the old plastic piece of crap again. Anyway here is the limk to the pics and videos. I reckon they are high enough definition. Hey Ben one of the videos is that of ur Jeep turning 90 degrees under heavy accelaration and then disappearing in the ensuing dust storm...
