I have just arrived back. Stayed overnight at Albury last night. Many stories to tell and there is some good video about to pop up on Utube (right Andrew)? Stragglers are still out there, gi-frog is headed to Canberra, and I don't know where Dave and the bbq trailer got to.

Hi, this is actually Dave at Maggie and Reg's house. Got here about 4.30 and parked the trailer for them. Had a great trip back, left Jambo at about 4.30 yesterday after a fun "morning" drive (that got back about 2.30) and overnighted at Seymor about 100kms North of Melbourne. A much better trip than going down via Healsville and The Black Spur.

Maggie has asked me for a "Jambo Report" for Wednesday night, so any contributions from anyone about other trips etc greatfully accepted.

Thanks, Dave

Home as well now, we stayed at Albury last night, left there at 8:30 this morning and spent 1 1/5 hrs roughly at Holbrook going around the submarine museum there and just taking it easy. Also took it easy the rest of the way with a lunch stop at Gunning and then back to Chris's place to drop him off.

I'll post up some pics later this evening :) Also looking forward to some video from Hunty :)

Cheers

Wolfe after 10 minutes getting out of a deep bog hole

Hunno stuck in a bog hole, getting him out ripped the recovery hook off of Ryans jeep, it pulled the bolts clean out of the nuts tearing the thread off!!! Luckily everyone was well back and the hook hit the plastic rear bar on Hunnos jeep with no damage.

For sale for $25000, running a Chev V8. We tried coming up with a timeshare agreement between a few of us but for some reason everyone wanted it Saturday and Sunday and nobody Monday

2 wheel drive and running a nice sounding V8 along with a moon tank in the tray, a great machine and would be a lot of fun, sounded awesome cruising around the campsite.

I didn't get many photos out on the tracks (a little bit busy out there), but here is one of a bog hole on the Friday C grade trip - that got much more serious later on. That's Andrew at the camera.

And for the sea faring folk, there are not many chances to walk the deck of a submarine this far from the sea. The Otway at its mooring in Holbrook NSW.

I noticed that my rear diff is leaking where it connects with the drive shaft, but I made it back. From a quick google search it sounds like that is fairly common and is most likely the seal as well. I'll have to do a bit more research into how to fix it and whether or not I can do it myself.

Its a fairly cheap fix and possibly one of those things that is more convenient to get a diff guy to do due to the torque on the pinion nut.

I thought my Dad was involved in the building of the Otway but after a chat with him last night he said they built the "little submarines" along side the ones he was refitting, the nuclear submarines. I went on this one at the end of its re fitment before it went back to sea in the 70's and I remembered it being a lot bigger than the Otway. Still great to see the Otway and read about it's history.

We went around the Submarine museum while we were there, very interesting way to spend an hour or more :)
