Hi Humans,
Did a little recon down south outside Nowra. Most of the worthy tracks are blocked off - anything heading towards the Shoalhaven river anyway. The Yalwal rd to Danjera Dam has been graded and fixed up for buses and pure-road vehicles.
But, the good news is, using Deans Gap road and then heading out along Mintbush track is a little more fun - and further south along here you leave the Nowra council and hit into Uladulla council, with less closures - friendlier natives too.
So, I haven't been able to get right down there yet, but looking at going out on the 30th/31st for a run. I'll be using Yalwal rd and Deans Gap rd as pure access tracks. Looking for some of the older and unblocked, not regularly used tracks off-shooting from these. The powerline run looks interesting in places, but a little softer than the ZigZag powerlines run.
Was going to do a lone ranger job, then thought anyone doing nothing else might want to tag along too. Would have liked to do it on 27th/28th, but thats a long weekend and the place might be overrun, apart from the Christmas recovery session.
