WJ Chucking a wobbly

Hi guys,


Am having problems with the right front wheel every now and then. Wobbly and feels like it gonna come loose. Also smells of burning coming only from there. Had the bearings and both cvs done but problems still persist. Any ideas? ??? ???


Thinking of upgrading the steering damper and suspension to Rancho RSX
. Has anyone done it? Appreciate any advice

have you done a lift or increased tyre size.

Had exactly the same problem with my JK after it was lifted, on the left front wheel. Needed extended swaybar linkages and another alignment, after the first and things had settled in. Also, had a light clear-oily seepage on the right front wheel. That turned out to be the drive-shaft seal leaking, not at the wheel itself. Although a different model vehicle, your problem appears similar to the one I had. After the fixes, I dont have that problem now.

Thanks Wolfe, haven't lifted it yet but will add 2" soon with Ranchos and stuff. Had Coopers 245/70/16 for the last 5 yrs without a problem.
