problem with the "shift linkage"

After working on my HEEP today, took it for a drive around the block in 4wd. Now i cant get it out of 4wd to 2wd. I've tried Adjusting the shift-linkage, but i cant get it right!!!

Dose anyone know how to adjust the linkage?


p.s. it a 95 xj cherokee.

Ok so i've just finish re-adjusting the linkage, Pulled the shift lever back to 4low with a 3.5mm shimer between the lever and the shift gate. loosen the bolt on top and adjusted the rod then tighten bolt back up! It goes through all the gears ok! Still takes alittle brake and excelerator action, to get it back to 2wd!

The thing is now on the dashboard when i go through the gears it shows the PART-TIME light, on all the gears!!! Not on 2wd thank god!!!

Any ideas?
