The National Code of Practice for vehicle modifcation (Version 2) closed for comment at the end of April. I sincerely hope that SJC and the 4WD Association submitted an objection to the revised section 2.6, which specifically bans ANY modification to a vehicle equipped with ESP. Any of us with 2005 and onward Jeeps are affected by this ban, and potentially all of us in the future should we seek to upgrade our vehicles.
Is anyone aware of any submission by SJC, a member, or the 4WD Association to the reviewing body or to the RTA on this matter? I did manage to find out that the VIC 4WD association did have a meeting with VIC Roads and gained agreement that they would consult further before adoption. VIC Roads also had a page on their website inviting comment, can't say the same for the RTA.
