We have a few social trips lined up for the next few months the first is Ten Pin Bowling :) sometime in October, more details to come.
If you're interested in a game or two stick your name in here, should be good fun and would be great to get along plenty of people.
Anyway, keep an eye on this thread for updates :)

Yeah why not! haven't bowled for years ... in fact I think I've only been bowling a couple of times, should be a good laugh!

Sure, last time I played Sean (my son) used the lane next to us as well as the bumpers, bit of a shame there was a competition game going on on it already ;) We both did the whistle and look in the air thing but it was pretty obvious where the ball came from.

im interested just depends on the date
Come on people, this is a great opportunity to meet and socialize with other members of the Club. Some of us like trips and some like day runs but this is something different. We can bring our partners and our kids and issue challenges etc. and really have some fun.
Once we decide a venue, would a Saturday or Sunday arvo be better for a social event so we can include families. My grandkids luurrve bowling.
Could be a great day if we all get behind it .. this is a great club, why not make it better.

I challenge thee maggie ... heeee ... I'll be like Shaun and bowling into the other alley! Just pick a date .. I'm away the weekend 25-27 Oct and have stuff on most weekends in Oct, but free sun, 12 Oct and Sat, 18 Oct if that helps :)

Might have to go with Sunday the 12th of October, Bec will be a little too pregnant to go to far from home after that anyway.
Jaffas suggested AMF at North Strathfield as a fairly central location. So I think we might go with that.

We're going to postpone for a week or two. We've had some issues getting details out to all members and with school holidays still on etc a lot of people will be away still.
New date will be Sunday the 19th of October say 11:00am - 1:00 (Roughly) at North Strathfield.
If we can get confirmations by the 12th so I can make a booking.

We are keen but also peed off that we put off some plans based on the 12th.

This is confirmed as it can be until I make a booking, which I cant do until I have numbers. As soon as I get the numbers I'll book for the date and time above, no guarantees we'll be finished by 1:00 hence the "roughly"
Sorry you put off plans on the 12th. I didn't want to move it (my wife and kids cant make the 19th and the kids were looking forward to it) but sometimes it just happens :(

I am still in .., Reg will not bowl but I am trying to confirm my granddaughter to come as well.

Sorry, you did not make it Wolfe .. we had a really nice time .. Steve Taylor stole the show .. even with a broken arm he beat all the able bodied by using the frame. I was seriously thinking of 'kneecapping' him to give us all a chance.
don't want to give too much away, Rebecca (who is also a cool hand with a bowling ball, top scored in the second game) will publish photos etc. in the October mag.
Even Wooders little fellow Martin enjoyed the day.
